Cycling in Hanoi
7:30 AM: Meet your guide at your hotel. After a brief introduction to the bike, gear, and route, you’ll start your biking adventure. Pedal towards Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi’s first steel bridge spanning the Red River, constructed in 1902.
Continue to the Following Stops:
- Local Market/Backstreet Road: Experience the vibrant atmosphere of a local market or backstreet road.
- Banana Island: Explore banana plantations, fruit and vegetable farms, and visit a floating village on the Red River. On evening tours, visit the bustling Long Bien Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market.
- Quang An Flower Market: Discover a lively wholesale flower market, bustling at night but still colorful during the day.
- West Lake: Cycle around half of Hanoi’s largest lake and enjoy breathtaking views.
- Tran Quoc Pagoda: Visit this 1,500-year-old pagoda, a symbol of Vietnamese Buddhism.
- B52 Lake: See the remnants of a B-52 bomber shot down during the “Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the Air” campaign, still resting in Huu Tiep Lake.
- Outside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum: Learn about the life of Ho Chi Minh and the architecture of this significant monument.
- Hanoi Train Street: Explore this popular tourist spot with numerous cafes adjacent to the train tracks.
